Will going to a chiropractor help with labor?

Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with a chiropractor helping the pain and ease of labor? I’ve been told they can align your pelvis etc … As I had a cesear for my first less than two years ago I have to progress through labor pretty smoothly or I’ll have to have another one.

Got something to say?

I had a chiropractor help me when I was very pregnant and it helped so much. The reason I know is because with my first I didn’t go but my second I did and it did not hurt near as bad it helped me quite a bit. Hope this helps you.
it helps keep the body aligned during pregnancy. exercise and massage help during labor.
A chiropractor can help, sure. Tell them what you’re hoping they can help you with during labour, and see what they can do to help you.

If you want a better chance of not having to have a cesarean, don’t let them induce labour (half of all induced labours end in cesarean because the body isn’t ready for labour and the drugs they use put a lot of stress on the baby). Also, keep relaxed and don’t stress out about “oh no, if it doesn’t go smoothly, I’ll have to have a c-section”. Have someone there with your during childbirth for moral support, and to help you keep the doctor from bullying you into an un-needed cesarean. It’s not as difficult as people think to have a baby naturally after a previous cesarean!
