Is there a degree requirement to be a chiropractic assistant? I’m asking because of a want ad in the paper and the only requirments it lists are good people person, multi-tasker.
I want to apply but im not sure if I need schooling or not,

Got something to say?

Yes I imagine there would be. Maybe not a full blown degree, but maybe a Cet IV or Diploma is needed. I would phone they people who are advertising, and ask them what they FULL job requirements are .(To me it sounds like an admin post, rather then helping the chiropractor himself.) That way you have it from the horses mouth .
Chiropractic assistants are generally trained on the job. A high school diploma is usually required but additional employment requirements vary depending on the duties of the particular position. Computer and bookkeeping skills are a definite asset.
There are training courses which can help improve a Chiropractic Assistant, but they are not requirted by any state laws.
See the following site:
Some states (such as Florida) have statutes allowing for a position called a Chiropractic Physician’s Assistant. This is a person trained through a school who performs chiropractic procedures under the supervision of a chiropractor.
